A Court of Forgotten Melody by Sarah J. Maas book cover

01 · Romantasy

A Court of Forgotten Melody

Announced US release:

Prythian's alliances are coming apart just when cooperation matters most. Koschei the Deathless remains a threat, and the Night Court's Inner Circle is spreading out in search of an advantage. Diplomacy has done little to repair the divisions, leaving the court to look for help farther afield.

A Court of Forgotten Melody follows A Court of Splintered Harmony and carries the subtitle The Valkyrie Cycle, Movements II & III. The search for allies means returning to relationships built across the earlier books, with the wider threat to Prythian still unresolved. The continuation brings those personal bonds and political loyalties under pressure together.

ACOTAR book 7. Earlier books are needed for the relationships and conflicts this installment continues.

The Two-Body Problem by Ali Hazelwood book cover

02 · Contemporary romance

The Two-Body Problem

Announced US release:

Olive Smith has her PhD, a postdoctoral position, and a home with Adam Carlsen. The relationship that began in The Love Hypothesis is established now, but their working lives are much less secure. Temporary fellowships, competing schedules, and a tight academic job market make planning a shared future difficult.

Olive also wants recognition for her own research, rather than a reputation defined by being Adam's girlfriend. The sequel takes a question that the first romance could leave beyond its ending and makes it the story: what does staying together require when two scientific careers may pull in different directions? Olive and Adam's history matters here, so this is a return to their relationship rather than an unrelated campus romance.

The sequel to The Love Hypothesis. Read Olive and Adam's first story before this continuation.

The Sleepwalker by Freida McFadden book cover

03 · Psychological thriller

The Sleepwalker

Announced US release:

Samantha is a nurse with a history of sleepwalking, unexplained injuries, and missing memories. She has also found a terrible way to quiet her nights: killing men she believes deserve to die. That justification is part of the problem, especially when bodies appear that she cannot remember being responsible for.

A stranger's arrival adds another complication, but the central uncertainty is already close to home. Samantha cannot fully account for her own actions, and her certainty about who deserves punishment offers little reassurance. Her missing memories leave her unable to distinguish the violence she has chosen from whatever happens during her sleep. The mystery begins with someone who already has a great deal to hide from other people, and perhaps from herself.

A standalone thriller, separate from The Housemaid series.

The Rite of Aphrodite by Rick Riordan and Kyle Lukoff book cover

04 · Middle-grade fantasy

The Rite of Aphrodite

Announced US release:

Harper Rush, a son of Aphrodite, arrives at Camp Half-Blood hoping for a fresh start after his father's arrest and a difficult move to his grandparents' home. Harper is trans and finally living as the boy he knows himself to be, but confidence and charm cannot answer all the questions he brings to camp.

He and three other new campers have already broken curfew together. There are secrets between them, a camper and a satyr missing in the Wild Zone, and a visiting goddess who happens to be Harper's mother. Aphrodite has questions to dodge and a camp dance to announce. Riordan's collaboration with Kyle Lukoff puts Harper's family troubles and friendships alongside the mythological mysteries.

Book 2 of Camp Half-Blood: From the World of Percy Jackson, following The Wild Zone. This is a separate Camp Half-Blood series, not a numbered Percy Jackson and the Olympians installment.

Modern Classic by Emily Henry book cover

05 · Contemporary romance

Modern Classic

Announced US release:

Beckett Heyburn writes screenplays, but the sweeping romantic films she loves remain a long way from the work she has managed to make. When her mentor Perdita dies and leaves her a house in Santa Barbara, Beckett is grieving and unable to write. She retreats to a place crowded with movie memorabilia and reminders of the woman who urged her to live more boldly.

A rescue dog keeps appearing in the yard. Its foster dad is harder to warm to, though he shares Beckett's love of movies and has his own reasons for keeping out of sight. Cinema gives these two people a shared language; Beckett's loss gives their escape a less carefree edge. Her retreat brings grief, stalled ambitions, and a new attraction into the same house full of memories.

The Lady of Thorns by Tasha Suri book cover

06 · Gothic fantasy / romantasy

The Lady of Thorns

Announced US release:

Convicted of murdering a prince, Rohese is offered a way out of execution. She must enter the cursed city of Moonscarrow, find the heart of the Lady of Thorns, and destroy it. Her freedom depends on killing a sorceress she knows chiefly through the account given by those sending her there.

Inside, the city is beautiful, haunted by wraiths, and full of traces of the Lady's past. As Rohese gets closer to the heart, she has reason to question what she has been told about the sorceress. The bargain gives this gothic fantasy a particularly sharp dilemma: surviving her punishment may require carrying out another injustice.

Feels Like Falling by Abby Jimenez book cover

07 · Contemporary romance

Feels Like Falling

Announced US release:

Elizabeth is the person everyone relies on: her father, her disabled sister, and her best friend. Being dependable has left her with very little room to need anything herself. Her coworker Mike Maddox would like to change that, but Elizabeth has good reasons to distrust him. His past has already cost him a friendship, and his job may be next.

Mike tries to show that he has changed through ordinary acts of care, including helping her sister and remembering occasions others overlook. The romance grows out of that repeated presence, with a complication beyond whether Elizabeth finds him attractive. Trusting Mike also means trusting her own judgment when people around her disagree.

The Fire by Kristin Hannah book cover

08 · Contemporary fiction

The Fire

Announced US release:

Merritt Locke has spent years meeting the expectations attached to being a wife, mother, and daughter. Betrayal and public exposure force a break with that familiar role. In the aftermath, she sets off across the country to reconnect with her estranged daughter, meeting other women along the way.

Hannah places this story in contemporary America, where private family fractures exist alongside a deeply divided public life. The journey gives Merritt a chance to form connections beyond the people who have defined her responsibilities. For anyone coming from Hannah's historical novels, the change of period matters: this book concerns the present, with a mother-daughter relationship and women's alliances at its center.

09 · Horror

Bigfoot Must Die

Announced US release:

In August 1986, five thirteen-year-old scouts head into the South Carolina woods. Their friendships have already had a difficult summer, and their leader hopes a hike will help bring them back together. Instead, the Obituary Trail puts them in the path of a threat drawn from the Bigfoot legend.

A hike meant to repair their friendships instead forces them to depend on one another to survive. The coming-of-age story is built into the horror: these boys bring an unsettled summer into the woods with them.

Four Bastards and a Baby by Travis Baldree book cover

10 · Fantasy / LitRPG

Four Bastards and a Baby

Announced US release:

The Deepdown is a shifting underground dungeon, and getting out is supposed to be impossible. Brindle, a half-devil, receives an offer from the dungeon itself: carry a mysterious egg to the top floor and earn his freedom. He gathers a party whose members include a pacifist blacksmith, a tinker with a dangerous secret, and two sisters, one trapped in a sword.

Then the egg hatches into a human baby. Transporting a fragile object through monsters and traps has become the much less predictable business of keeping a child alive. Baldree describes this as a departure from cozy fantasy, in a different world from Legends & Lattes. The party has an escape route to pursue and a new responsibility that none of its members signed up for.

A separate world from Legends & Lattes; that series is not required background.

The Night Nanny by Sarah Pekkanen book cover

11 · Thriller

The Night Nanny

Announced US release:

Briarly Academy trains nannies for families whose wealth and power demand much more than ordinary childcare. In the English countryside, students learn etiquette, defensive driving, emergency medicine, and even martial arts. Emily, an ambitious young American, fights for a place in that world, making enemies as she proves herself.

Her eventual assignment takes her to a private family's Manhattan penthouse, where she works nights caring for a young boy. His night terrors, the staff's secrets, and inconsistencies in his parents' accounts make the position increasingly unsettling. The move from a competitive academy to an isolated household changes the problem: the skills Emily worked so hard to acquire may not explain what she has been hired into.

Holy Monsters by Imani Erriu book cover

12 · Romantasy

Holy Monsters

Announced US release:

The Dark has returned, and gathering the hearts of the Stars would give her an army capable of threatening gods and mortals. Elara and Lorenzo's response requires an alliance with an enemy: the King of Stars. In the ice kingdom of Perses, their growing power and their attachment to each other sit uneasily alongside the need for vengeance.

This third Heavenly Bodies novel continues an existing romance and a larger conflict. Resisting one enemy means depending on another, while Elara's growing desire for vengeance complicates what she is willing to do with her power.

Heavenly Bodies book 3. Heavenly Bodies and Fallen Stars come first; this is not a standalone romance.

The Deep and Secret Things by Ken Follett, publisher's current artwork

13 · Historical fiction

The Deep and Secret Things

Announced US release:

South Wales, 1853: Helena Bowen wants to study science, but her position as a young noblewoman comes with expectations that shut that ambition down. Meeting the Llewellyns introduces her to a successful wheelmaking family whose Quaker beliefs place unusual emphasis on equality and a simple life.

Lloyd's convictions impress her; his cousin Johnnie's charm and ambition pull in a different direction. The story extends toward London, setting family and religious loyalties against the desire to make a fortune. Helena's wish to become a scientist gives the Victorian setting a particular point of tension: she can see a future for herself that the society around her will not readily allow.
